Hi. My name is Kaine and I'm from doncaster in south yorkshire.I've been djing for about a year now and what a year it has been. My first taste of playing to an audience came with a residency at coast2coast in my hometown of doncaster. I held onto that for 6 months whilst also playing at other events inside and out of doncaster since.It first started many years ago when I got my first decks, A homemix system. For all the time I had it I couldnt get the hang of it but after getting rid of it I decided to take lessons from a dear friend of mine now called dave watson.The bug bit well and truly and I purchased a pair of pioneer cdj 350's and a djm 350 mixer, from there I gained my first residency after a trial set. As I gain more experience, I notice that I improve with every set I do and have finally found the style I am comfortable with is a mixture of fast driving tech trance plus dark & funky hardgroove techno.I like to keep the energy flowing and not stop-starting with a big breakdown every single song but space them out. Whilst there is a flow there, the crowd can get lost in the music and create an unforgettable experience.Now its the only music I live for and to be given the opportunity to play is a great privilege that I never take for granted. 2 PIONEER CDJ 1000 MK 3 / DJM 700 + 2 TECHNICS SL 1210 MK2 Now that would be telling... Stared Djing Speedgarage, House, Garage ;in 1999, then bounced into Bassline House 2003 . I then gave up mixing and had a little break from the mix and da blend for ;3 years due to family life.Then 3 months ago went out, got some new gear and trying to get back in the bassline again! 2 Denon CDjs s1000 and a newmark mixer and Sony headphones. Started with Technics sl1200s but moved 2 cd very soon as it seems like the way forward plus i am a girl and cant be carrying 5000000 boxes of vynall around! Nothing it hasnt been out 4 a while!!! As in choons? at the mo im liking - Axwells rmx of the prodigy music matters deadmau5 i remember Herve Rmx Kidda-Under the sun soul junkie rmx of wiggle it!!!! Hey there, Im Mel i am still in the "bedroom Dj" stages at the moment though i have played out at a few places as well in the Walsall area.Its probably been almost 2years ive been Djing but have gone for months of doing nothing with it as well. I love lots of sorts of music so i havent really fitted myself into a particular genre yet although most of my music is electro and house with some soulfull stuff and a little bit of baseline. I like rnb to dance 2 but not 2 mix with i cant do it!Im making a few mixes and would appreciate some feedback ive still got some practicing to do on the beat matching i know!But that is ony one aspect a rather important 1 i know i gotta just keep at it.
